Ecstatic Dance Cardiff, run by Seagypsee (Marie Bouzounie), hosts "epic monthly dances" at Coed Hills Rural Arts Space in St Hilary, near Cardiff in South Wales. The gatherings pair live DJs and freeform movement with supplementary offerings including workshops, cacao, yoga and sound baths, and span many musical styles from world music, EDM, tribal house, techno and afrobeat to cumbia, reggaeton, folktronika and sound healing. The events are alcohol-free and shoe-free, with a no-phones, no-cameras, no-talking policy on the dance floor, guided by principles such as "BE FREE. DANCE HOW YOU WANT. NO JUDGEMENT" and "BE CONSENSUAL. IF IT'S NOT A CLEAR YES, IT'S A NO." The space is welcoming to all experience levels, holding that "there is no right or wrong way to move." Under the Seagypsee banner, the wider project offers ecstatic dance, community, yoga, art, sound baths, healing arts and cacao medicine, with events and retreats across Wales and internationally. Monthly dances are scheduled throughout the year.
