Drops is a conscious dance event launched in January 2026, running free outdoor silent-disco dances in Bristol and Yeovil under the banner "Release | Recharge | Recalibrate". Sessions are hosted by Raquel, who DJs as Amada, and follow a wave structure: a 30-minute warm-up, a live DJ set built to rise through one or more peaks, then a gentle descent into integration, closing with an optional sharing circle. In their own words it is "a contained space to express what's alive in you", danced sober, barefoot and non-verbally, with no steps to learn. House guidelines are explicit: no alcohol or drugs, no shoes, no chit-chat, no tech, stay dressed, and a stated consent and boundaries practice. Open to over-18s of all backgrounds and dance experience. Raquel found 5 Rhythms in London in 2013 and moved into Ecstatic Dance during the pandemic, going on to guest DJ at most of the major UK conscious dance events including Ecstatic Dance UK, Ecstatic Dance Brighton and Ecstatic Dance Bristol, and co-founding Ecstatic Dance Somerset in 2025. She has also played the Leela Centre (formerly Osho Leela), Ministry of Sound, and festivals including Buddhafield, Noisily, Into the Wild and Elevate. The Bristol dances are held in Eastville Park, with the precise meeting point sent on ticket confirmation.
