Michael Stanton is a Bristol-based musician whose work sits within the conscious and ceremonial music world. Inspired by a love for nature and ancestral wisdom, his soulful music draws on the folk traditions of Celtic Europe and Armenia, Brazil and Native America, Zimbabwe and West Africa, offering what he describes as a sincere voice to the heart of the world. He sees music as having exceptional power to heal, an opportunity to feel deeply what is genuinely in our hearts and to meet ourselves as we truly are, and considers himself part of a global movement of healing through song, music and prayer. His music finds expression in singing circles, yoga classes, festivals, workshops and ceremonies. He contributes to ceremonial and community gatherings such as Enter The Circle, a ceremonial dance journey described as a meeting of cultures through song, dance and spirit, and Medicine Songs with Cacao events, where he supports people to deepen their connection with the spirits of nature by opening their voices in song and ritual. His offerings centre on voice, prayerful song and communal ceremony as pathways to healing and connection.
