Moving Connections is a movement and dance practice based in London, founded and facilitated by Julia Samel, with a focus on connecting people through community, movement and dance. The work draws on partner dance, freestyle movement and embodied connection, and welcomes everyone regardless of experience: the invitation is simply an open mind, a little curiosity and the willingness to have a go. Regular weekly evening sessions run on Tuesdays in the N7 area, exploring playful, explorative movement and connection through partner dance and freestyle forms. Alongside these, Julia runs Moving with Intimacy, full-day events exploring movement, dance and consensual platonic touch, and Rumble Dance Camp, multi-day residential camps set in a dedicated hall with music and immersion in nature. She also holds monthly Sunday PEER support sessions offering mutual professional support for movement facilitators. The ethos emphasises safe spaces, gentle exploration, choice, care and wordless connection, creating an environment where people can meet one another through the body without pressure or performance.
Real Awake runs immersive, sober conscious-community weekends in beautiful UK locations — ceremony, movement, music and deep connection.
