Rise Rooted

Rise Rooted — conscious events in Bath

Rise Rooted is the practice of Amy Glanville, a nutritional therapist and sound healer who works from locations in Bath, Saltford and Stroud, as well as online. The events side of the practice is group gong baths, held monthly — sound healing sessions using a 32" symphonic gong, a 22" hand-held wind gong, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes and voice. Listed venues include Corston Village Hall near Bath, Precision Pilates in Corsham and Stroud Yoga Space, and listed sessions run between 75 and 90 minutes. Sessions are described as evenings of deep rest and intention setting. Participants lie down (or sit) and listen: "All you need to do is arrive, lay down, and surrender to the sound waves." Amy describes the gong's resonance as building layer upon layer into a "sound envelope" that supports deep relaxation and a theta brainwave state, with the vibration moving through the chakras to release stagnant energy. Some sessions are themed — one listed event is an autumn equinox gong bath combined with yoga nidra. Alongside the open group sessions, Rise Rooted takes private bookings around the South West of the UK for yoga retreats, weddings, baby showers, celebrations, women's circles, team-building days and workplace wellbeing sessions, tailored to the host's needs. The wider practice covers reiki energy healing (Usui lineage, levels 1 and 2), naturopathic nutritional therapy, and one-to-one, couples and private group work. Amy holds a BSc in Psychology from Bristol University and a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the School of Health, trained in gong sound healing with Aiden McIntyre at Hawkwood College, and is registered with the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners and an associate member of the Naturopathic Nutrition Association. Group gong baths are booked by contacting Amy directly, and a monthly email list carries upcoming dates.
